Months ago, I complained over how none of the foreign music artists I’d love to see would not visit Manila.  There’s Coldplay, and Matchbox Twenty as examples.  Since September, there have been a steady stream of foreign acts that have trooped to Manila for performances.  I didn’t get to see any of them.
Babyface Edmonds had an exclusive show in Shangri-la so that was out.
Fall Out Boy had a major concert in Araneta but tickets for the upper boxes went as high as 3000+ so from a cost-benefit analysis view, it wasn’t worth it.
Click Five, with their new vocalist Kyle Patrick, went for mall tours at Trinoma, Greenbelt 3, and Alabang Town Center but we had somewhere else to go on the said dates.
Beyonce had a concert in Bonifacio open field and my company even offered discounted tickets, but I’m not really a fan so from a cost-benefit analysis view, it wasn’t worth it.
The main downer in this whole season is
Josh Groban’s concert at the PICC.  I found out about it just about 3 days before the actual concert date.  And when I did hear about it, I also heard that a ticket costs….drum roll please….twenty five thousand pesos.  I would have really loved to watch Josh Groban live.  I have all his albums and I really like his music, even his most recent Christmas album, Noel.  However, I don’t think I can part with twenty-five grand for a concert.  There’s a lot that I can actually do with that amount.  I can actually use it for my Christmas shopping budget.  It doesn’t mean though that my budget now is THAT large.  Anyway, as my friend Ohbig said, no act is worth twenty five grand, unless it involves lots of nude girls.  Akon is having his concert today.  Not really a fan, so I think I’ll also pass on this one. Calling on the Matchbox Twenty and Coldplay road managers, Manila is now safe as can be shown by all these foreign acts coming here.
