The Senyors Assembled

Well, it wasn't ALL of us.  George wasn't there.  Neither was Gene.  So it was just me, Jek, and Peewee.  At Fish & Co., Greenbelt 3.  And at Starbucks thereafter.  The conversation at Fish & Co was entirely catch-up.  It should not be surprising, since the last time we saw each other was George and Shey's despedida last February (or was it January?) 2007.  Apparently one of the major things I haven't been in the loop with about my fellow gentleman hooligans are:  Peewee and Jing just moved into a house which they bought for an undisclosed (but given the secrecy, I assume it to be a HUGE) sum of money; Jek has again resigned from his current job and moved on to another one, where he is now an AVP...with a Toyota Fortuner.  Yes.  In terms of the bare necessities of modern living for executives, my two friends have done it.  Of course they have amortizations but that's manageable given how large their salary is.  We talked about other stuff, and I never realised how deprived Jek is with screen entertainment that he's not even familiar with the most recent movies.  And that's even with a new Samsung Flat Screen Television at home!  Geeesh.  Anyway, we switched from fish to frap when Peewee decided to be generous (Jek was not in the mood, having just paid 40 grand in amortization) and treat us to Starbucks.  There, seated, the ooogling and the insults start.  Both were not directed to anyone of us, but at the different sizes and shapes went by for latte or frap.  There were really cute ones.  Then beautiful ones. Then slutty ones.  I tell you, even after being with these people for so long, I really find it hard to catch-up with their pace.  From time to time, the two slip into their "Burger Machine" moment, as Peewee would like to call it.  Anyway, the whole activity of insulting people (mostly the metrosexual ones) made me laugh so hard that night, which they haven't really done in a looong, loooong while.  It was cathartic for them I guess, what with all the pressure of work and their family life.  I found myself giving thanks I'm still single.  Hehe.
It was great seeing them again, and hopefully we don't have to wait another n months to get together.  This is frighteningly becoming an annual thing for us.

It would have been good if you and George were there. Probably in the next annual gathering of the extraordinarily distinguished league of gentlemen.
